Born and raised in the culturally rich borough of Brooklyn, New York, Carmen Simmons, a true Gemini, has always been drawn to the intersection of arts and entertainment. During her time at Clark Atlanta University, she gained hands-on experience by interning with Def Jam South, managing events, and writing for local publications. Staying true to her dual passions, Carmen transitioned into producing lifestyle and entertainment programs for Comcast Community TV, all while working at Hitco Music Publishing. There, she built a strong network, providing media services for music industry professionals like Ezekiel Lewis and Ryan Bowser, and coordinating live events for emerging artists such as Janelle Monáe and popularstreetwear brands like Dareales.
By 2009, Carmen had solidified her place in the industry, working with Bug Music Publishing and MaTone Management under the guidance of Antonio Reid Jr. During this time, she curated interviews with some of music’s most notable figures, including Jeezy, Rick Ross, 8Ball & MJG, Omarion, Ma$e, and Kimora Lee Simmons.
From 2015 to 2019, Carmen made significant strides in philanthropy, raising millions of dollars for homeless families as the Fundraising Event Manager for the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, while simultaneously building her media brand, N’Style Atlanta. In 2018, Carmen co-founded Invisible Ink Entertainment with Arturo Ayers Jr. to manage entertainers and produce original content. This collaboration culminated in the launch of Watch This!
(YoWatchThis.com), an OTT channel available on Roku and Fire TV. The channel features talk shows, short films, and the unscripted reality series N’Style Atlanta Uncut, which Carmen created and executive produced alongside Ayers Jr. and Omar Holland.
