James Michael “Mike” Hill is a father, veteran, author, television personality, and, as of October 2020, husband to Cynthia Bailey. His fight through adversity in both his personal life and professional career is a testament to how hard work and perseverance yields great results.
After beginning his career as a sports director at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland, Mike worked his way up the ladder – including stops in Fresno, Nashville, New York City, and Dallas – until finally landing a job at ESPN. There, he hosted a variety of the network’s most popular shows, including SportsCenter, First Take, NFL Live, and Baseball Tonight. In August 2013, Mike made the leap to FOX Sports 1 (FS1) as part of the network’s launch. In August 2020, his much-anticipated memoir, Open Mike, was released.
Currently, Mike is cohost with Donny Harrell on Fox Soul’s barbershop-style talk show, The Mike and Donny Show, which airs every weeknight at 8pm PT / 11pm ET.
