A proud native of Chicago, Illinois, took a bold leap of faith after graduating college, relocating to Atlanta to pursue her dreams in acting and television. Understanding the struggles that come with starting fresh in a new city, Rashida knew deep down that God had called her to the “black Mecca,” the vibrant heart of the entertainment industry.
Armed with a Master’s degree in Business Communications and an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism, Rashida wasted no time diving into her career. A few months after arriving, she landed a job at Streetz 94.5, leveraging her previous radio experience from Eastern Illinois University. Her role at the station included live events, guest co-hosting morning and afternoon shows, and reporting traffic, giving her a platform to hone her skills in the media world. However, Rashida’s true passion always lay in television and acting. In 2016, she expanded her horizons by opening her own MedSpa, The ShiSpa, which provided the financial stability and flexibility to continue
pursuing her entertainment dreams. That same year, she began making waves in television, with appearances on shows like Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and a featured role on Survivor’s Remorse.
By 2022, Rashida’s hard work and perseverance paid off when she landed a lead role in the independent film Last Straw and co-starred in Brooklyn. Her career continued to soar, and in 2023, Rashida Nicole joined forces with media mogul Carmen Simmons and talent manager Arturo Ayers Jr. to co-host the Necessarily Nicole Podcast. The trio’s chemistry led to a collaboration on the highly syndicated reality show N’Style
